Wheat Germ Oil
Wheat germ oil is a great beauty elixir that is extracted from the germ of the wheat kernel. Due to cold pressing, the high-quality organic oil nourishes the skin with valuable substances – it contains large amounts of essential fatty acids, foremost Omega-6 fatty acids and is also a great source of Vitamin E. The oil is believed to stimulate the microcirculation of the skin. During pregnancy, wheat germ oil, in combination with a good base oil, is great for massages as it promotes the skin´s elasticity and helps to prevent or even avoid stretch marks. Aside from applying it to the belly and hips, a massage oil containing wheat germ oil is ideal for a perineal massage in preparation for childbirth. When used regularly, the perineal tissue becomes softer and its elasticity is increased.
Wild Rose Oil (Rosehip Oil)
Wild rose oil (also called rosehip oil) has an intense color and is loaded with valuable ingredients that benefit and hydrate the skin and can even improve the appearance of older scars and stretch marks. It contains high amounts of alpha-linolenic acid and linoleic acid – these highly unsaturated fatty acids support the functionality of the cell membranes, promote cell division and stimulate regeneration. The linoleic acid is said to have an anti-inflammatory effect. The valuable wild rose oil is a dry oil and quickly absorbs into the skin without leaving a greasy residue – a great, energizing oil for all skin types.
In Ayurveda, sesame oil has a great significance as a skin oil. The Indian term is “Snehana“, meaning „care“. Ayurveda uses sesame oil to promote the eliminate heavy metals in the skin tissue. At the same time, it is believed that it prevents premature skin aging and is beneficial to dry skin. As it can stimulate the skin´s circulation, it shouldn´t be used on inflamed skin. Sesame oil promotes the vitality of skin cells and is great for massages.
Our yooni Tip: Every morning, massage your skin for 3-5 minutes with sesame oil – it has a holistic stimulating effect, promoting messenger substances such as endogenic morphines, the relaxing serotonin or the creative hormone dopamine. This is the reason why sesame oil is also called the key to the soul.
